  Found a new favorite in Mansfield! Sherri and I have passed this place many times, but we're always in too big a rush to make the 20 minute drive back home.  Today, we finally made time to stop. Boy, am I glad we did.
  
  First of all, I have to tell you that my favorite mexican dish is Chili Rellenos. But I prefer them grilled vs. fried, and not many places have that. El Primo's has BOTH!
  
  So I ordered the grilled with picadillo beef and Cancun sauce... Muy Bueno!!!
  
  Sherri felt like something a little lighter and had a beautiful salad with grilled chicken.  The atmosphere is great and the restaurant and restrooms are spotless. Nathan, our waiter was very attentive and took great care of us. He kept us well stocked with delicious home cooked chips and 3 outstanding fresh salsas.
  
  I couldn't help but notice that they have a weekend brunch and some awesome lunch specials.  We're just going to have to make time to visit more often!

  Let me preface this review by stating that I spent a decade of my life in the restaurant business in almost every position, FOH and BOH. I seriously can't believe we just paid hard earned money on this experience. We should've read the reviews and stayed away but we wanted to try a new place and we all agreed on Tex-Mex.
  POSITIVE: the music was good and the drinks were tasty. The GM gave my son a shirt when we came in which he was so stoked about. My husband loved and ate all of his taco salad and my son ate all of his quesadilla, rice, and beans.
  THE REST:
  What I'm appalled by is the sheer amount of time it took to get anything and the lack of leadership. We have been here 1.5 hours total time. It was my husband, our 3 year old, and I at about 6 on Friday night.
  It took 15 minutes to get a sever over to us, 30 minutes to get our drinks, and almost 45 to get our food and an unnerving 10 minutes to get our cc returned when we paid for the check.
  The food wasn't THAT great. Maybe I didn't get the right thing but had my plate been ran when it was ready vs sitting in the window, I would've probably had a different experience.
  The management was more interested in delegating tasks than taking care of people. One manager came up to us seeing we only had menus and asked if we had had any service. We said no and he walked away saying he would get someone for us. 10 minutes later she came by with sweat on her brow and out of breath. He basically walked around the restaurant looking at the issues and then telling the staff what to fix.
  As a former manager and now business owner, it starts at the top. Sure our server got triple sat. But that's when the manager should roll up his sleeves and jump in the weeds with their people, not walk around giving orders to an overworked staff.
  I'm so bummed because the place is really cool inside - the theme is carried through the restaurant- it had a pretty cool patio vibe.
  I'm just so disappointed.
  If you come here, maybe sit at the bar or just don't come with high expectations for service.

  Five stars for food... one star for service. So I have been talking this place up for weeks. Finally get my family to drive to Mansfield and the service was TERRIBLE. The hostess sat my party of three, with two place settings and 2 menus, mind you, my third person is a 14 year old boy. I went back to the hostess to get a third menu, and she tells me the kids menu is on the back. WOW, that's not insulting.  So 5 minutes in, my kid is already insulted. We sit down and wait over 20 minutes for someone to even look at the table.... who was a manager btw, not even our waiter. 20ish minutes later, we order food and it takes forever. I asked our waiter and he said there was a large party so their foods first. I'm sorry... the table behind us that came in after us already had their food. Your operational issues should not impact my experience. And don't lie to me. Just say you forget to put in our order.
  
  The food was delicious. My steak fajitas were a little over cooked for me, but the flavor was excellent.  Got the bill before the dessert... dessert was delicious as well.
  
  The same manager who was first to acknowledge us was nice enough to say bye as well.  We may come back... but only because of the food... cause that service was awful.

  I love this place. This is my husband's and I go to spot for good food and drinks. Fairly extensive options. The top shelf blue margarita is my favorite.

  First time here. We loved the environment and the shrimp enchiladas were bomb dot com! Our favorite part of our experience was because of Will -- top notch service and personality was on point! We'll be back! Thanks!!!
